- REQUEST FOR INFORMATION Procurement of Hydro-Renewable Jet and Marine Diesel Fuel Introduction In accordance with FAR 15.201, this request for inforamtion (RFI) is being issued to obtain price, delivery, other market information, or capabilities for planning purposes. The Government does not presently intend to award a contract, and responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Specifically the Government seeks information with regard to an anticipated upcoming requirement for Hydrotreated Renewable JP-5 (HRJ5) and Hydrotreaterd Renewable F-76 (HRD76). Information for Interested Parties The Government has an anticipated upcoming requirement for 100,000 USG of HRJ5 and 350,000 gallons of HRD76 to support the Navy's "Sail the Great Green Fleet" initiative. The Government anticipates awarding a contract or contracts to support this requirement no earlier than October 2011. Delviery of both HRJ5 and HRD76 must be completed no later than 01 May 2012. Specific deivery schedule information will be included in the Request for Proposal when it is issued. Delivery location will be FISC Puget Sound, WA. For both HRJ5 and HRD76, fuel shall consist predominantly of n-paraffins, iso-paraffins and cylcoparaffins and shall be produced soley from triglycerides and free fatty acids derived from either plan or algal oils. Fuel feedstocks derived from tallow are not acceptable. The Government comtemplates restriction of feedback sources to those producted within the USA or Canada. THe HRJ5 and HRD76 fuel must be produced within the USA. Information Requested Given the above information, the Government requests that any interested party respond to the following questions: - Do you have the capability to produce the required amount of fuel before 01 May 2012? - If you are able to produce the required amount of fuel, do you have the capability to deliver the fuel before 01 May 2012? - If you cannot produce the entire quantities sought before 01 May 2012, how much could you produce? - if you are unable to produce and deliver the fuel before 01 May 2012, what is the earliest date you anticpate you would be able to produce and deliver the fuel?
