- Request for Consew Sewing Machines Special Warfare Group Four, Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek, Norfolk, VA. anticipates to award a sole source purchase order to Consolidated Sewing Machine Company located at 400 Veterans Blvd. Carlstadt, NJ 07072. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 423830 This is sole source procurement under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(b)(1). All responsible sources who feel they should be considered qualified to provide the foregoing product may submit a written Statement of Capabilities. The Statement of Capabilities must contain sufficient detail to allow the Government to determine if the party can provide the items in the attached document entitlted Consew Sewing machines. Consew Sewing machine is the only vendor approved to provide sewing machines to repair parachutes in accordance with the Navy's parachute maintenance manual. Send responses to this notice within 15 days of Synopsis Publication to Arethalia Whitfield ( whitfield_a@nsweast.socom.mil or Ruby Phillips ( ruby.phillips@nsweast.socom.mil ) Information furnished shall include enough detailed documentation to allow the government to perform a proper evaluation. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This Notice is not a request for Competitive Proposals. A Solicitation will NOT be issued. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence, that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. See Numbered Note 22.
