- Requirements Matrix for Cardio Fitness Equipment Request For Information - Fitness Equipment - Cardio This RFI is limited to fitness equipment manufacturers. Wholesalers or retail outlets should not reply to this request. Only those offerors operating under the NAICS Code 339920 should respond. DESCRIPTION The Enterprise Sourcing Group (ESG) Commodities Flight requests fitness equipment manufacturer input to validate market capability for fitness equipment technical specification information. Attachment 1, titled Requirements Matrix, requests general information on your manufacturer capability to offer fitness equipment. Specifically, Cardiovascular Equipment to include upright stationary cycles, recumbent stationary cycles, stair steppers, treadmills, total body machines and spin cycles. This information will provide a vital piece of market research with regard to manufacturer capability. This request for information (RFI) may be followed by a RFP. All interested manufacturers are strongly encouraged to submit information supporting this request. Responses shall be in Excel 97- 2003 workbook format and follow the layout in attachment 1: Requirements Matrix. Responses may be submitted until Friday, 27 May 2011. No hard copy responses will be accepted. Please submit your response to kathleen.kasper@wpafb.af.mil. BACKGROUND The ESG located at Wright Patterson AFB, OH is responsible for enterprise level strategic sourcing. The ESG is the Air Force's centralized organization for executing enterprise-wide strategic sourcing for installation goods and services. The ESG utilizes strategic sourcing best practices to continually improve and re-evaluate organizational purchasing activities, to improve quality and reduce acquisition costs. The ESG uses cross-functional teams called "Commodity Councils" to strategically source goods and/or services at the enterprise level. The ESG is in the process of developing an acquisition strategy for procuring fitness equipment. The chosen strategy would provide enterprise wide, continental United States (CONUS) and select overseas locations, solutions for fitness equipment. DISCLAIMER The purpose of this RFI is to obtain information about market information or capabilities for planning purposes as defined in FAR 15.201(e). Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Manufacturers are advised that only Air Force Contracting Officers are legally authorized to commit the Government to the obligation of funds. Manufacturers are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. For copyright purposes, manufacturers are also advised that submitting a response implies express permission for the Government to use the data, pictures, and other information contained in the submittals. We highly encourage all interested manufacturers to provide a complete and thorough response to this RFI, however not responding will not preclude participation should a solicitation be released. Please monitor the Federal Business Opportunities (www.fbo.gov) website for future information pertaining to this potential requirement.
