- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Medical Center 2215 Fuller Rd., Ann Arbor Michigan, 48105 anticipates soliciting bids and consequently awarding a contract for the construction project known as "Renovate Elevator Vestibules" Project No.l 506-11-140. The solicitation will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 14 (SEALED BIDDING) and Part 36 (CONSTRUCTION) and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures therein. The solicitation will be advertised as a Total Set-Aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, supplies, travel, etc. to perform all work under this project which consists of: Demolition of existing automatic double doors and curtain walls on all four vestibules and replace with new curtain walls and automatic doors. The south window panes only on all levels will be replaced with insulated glass. Remove existing vestibule flooring and replace with specified carpet tile. Tuck pointing will be needed for areas that the CMU block is chipped, cracked or spalled. The vestibule ceilings will be painted and signs will be installed per plans. The period of performance is 90 calendar days for the entire project. Magnitude of construction is expected to be between $100,000 and $250,000. NAICS Code for this acquisition is 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The solicitation documents including specifications and drawings will be issued on or about Jun 7, 2011 and will be posted on Federal Business Opportunities (www.fbo.gov). This date is subject to change. Hard copy documents including drawings will not be available - all documents for bidding purposes will be posted at this website for download. Site visit information will be provided upon issuance of solicitation. Only one site visit is planned. Bids will be due 30 days after issuance of solicitation. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for submission of offers. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation as a result of this notice. No other information is available until issuance of the solicitation. No bidder list is maintained. All potential bidders should register with Federal Business Opportunities if interested in this acquisition.
