- The objective of Production Plus is to increase agricultural incomes and exports in Haiti’s Northern Corridor. Two specific results will be achieved: 1) an increase in incomes for at least 40,000 rural households and 2) a doubling of export value for cocoa produced by supported farms. This objective and these results will be achieved through work in four result areas relating to agricultural productivity, reduction of threats to production through watershed management, enhanced market opportunities, and building institutional capacities. This broad approach will provide the comprehensive set of interventions needed to spur pro-poor agricultural development in the region. Production Plus primary objective is to increase agricultural incomes and exports in Haiti's Northern Corridor. There are Two specific results that are to be achieved: 1) an increase in incomes for at least 40,000 rural households and 2) a doubling of export value for cocoa produced by supported farms. To all interested parties: Thet United States Government, as represented by the United States Agency for International Development Mission to Port-au-Prince, Haiti intends to issue a competitive request for proposals, in order to select a contractor to increase incomes and exports through market based approaches that boost and protects the agricultural sector in North Haiti. The attached Draft RFP only includes sections C, L & M. This procurement will be conducted through full and open competition for which the procedures set forth in FAR Part 15 shall apply. The purpose of this notice is to comply with the synopses and presolicitation notice requirements of FAR 5.2 - Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions. This notice and any subsequent solicitation will be handled using electronic commerce. The total cost estimated for this program requirement is in the range of $85 to $95 million. Comments on Draft RFP (only via email) USAID/Haiti expects interested parties to raise any questions that will enable us to identify and resolve concerns regarding the acquisition strategy, the feasibility of the requirement, the suitability of the evaluation criteria, the availability of other reference documents, and any other concerns.
