- JIM DAM RECONSTUCTION JIM DAM RECONSTRUCTION (FULL AND OPEN) : Bureau of Land Management, Department of the Interior, National Operations Center, Denver, Colorado has a requirement for the Jim Dam Reconstruction, Valley County, Montana, approximately 30 miles southwest of Glasgow, Montana. The successful contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supplies and materials necessary to dewater reservoir and construction area, install four culverts on access roads, excavate dam embankment for removal of existing outlet works, construct concrete encased precast concrete outlet conduit, construct precast concrete spillway riser, reconstruct dam embankment including upstream geocell or riprap slope protection and internal chimney and blanket drain system, construct grouted riprap outlet stilling basin, excavate new auxiliary spillway, and reclaim all disturbed areas including staging areas and temporary roads (seeding will be completed by others). This project shall be full and open competition. This is a re-advertisement; no bids were received under the prior solicitation. The solicitation shall be an Invitation for Bid (IFB), and a firm fixed price contract. NAICS code is 237990 (Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction); size standard is $33.5 million. Estimated period of performance is 137 calendar days. Estimated price range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. It is anticipated the solicitation package will be issued approximately May 24, 2011, and that work will begin on-site July, 2011.
