Description

The Richard L Roudebush VA Medical Center, 1481 W. 10th St., Indianapolis, Indiana intends to negotiate with South Western Communications to provide installation of the Rauland Nurse Call System within the newly renovated GI suite. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one (1) source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). The Government believes that only one (1) responsible source can provide the supplies/services based on the fact that South Western Communications has installed the Rauland system within numerous areas of the medical center and having another company install would not only void the current warranty with South Western on the newly installed equipment but would also bring in a different system that would be incompatible with the Rauland System and hinder functionality and patient care. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes, but responses received on or before June 2, 2011 will be evaluated. A determination by the Contracting Officer not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is only within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. Information received will be considered solely for purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses must be submitted in writing to the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center, Attention: David Garrison, Contracting Officer (90CSC), 1481 W. 10th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46202, email at David.Garrison@va.gov or fax at 317-988-1809. Responses must be received no later than 12:30pm, Thursday, June 2, 2011. No telephone inquiries will be accepted.
