Description
This is a notice of intent that the Electronic Warfare/Avionics Division at Robins AFB, GA anticipates issuing a solicitation for engineering services in support of the C-130 and other Large Aircraft Electronic Warfare (EW) Systems Integration and Enhanced Situational Awareness (ESA) Advanced Situational Awareness and Countermeasures (ASACM) EWAISF Sustainment Integration, to obtain the integration of several EW systems to improve threat warning capability. The engineering services will also be utilized to investigate any problems with the system. This will be a basic (one year) with four annual options IDIQ contract. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI), CAGE: 1FEZ4, under authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Foreign participation is not permitted at the prime contractor level. Solicitation is expected to be released on or around 31 May 2011, with a response due 30 days after issuance of a solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. The RFP will NOT be posted at www.fedbizopps.gov.
