- The US Army Contracting Command-Aberdeen Proving Ground-Natick Contracting Division (NCD), on behalf of the Naval Health Research Center (NHRC) intends to issue a Request for Proposals for research and development for improved methodologies for the prevention and treatment of prostate cancer, the most common cancer in U.S. military veterans. These services are required to conduct research efforts through clinical trials to support the development of a therapeutic vaccine composed of prostate-specific antigen (PSA) to treat the early stages of prostate cancer as well as recurrent, D3 prostate cancer. This effort seeks to provide improved, cost effective, and widely available treatment options to DoD and Navy populations. This procurement will utilize Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 35, Research and Development Contracting. The Government anticipates issuance of a three (3) year, Firm Fixed Price contract. It is anticipated that this procurement will be solicited as 100% small business set-aside. However, the Government reserves the right to change the solicitation procedure. The Government envisions awarding a single contract. However, the Government reserves the right to issue more than one contract, or none. If more than one contract is awarded the requirements will be divided (ratio to be determined) among successful offerors. The applicable NAICS Code is 541712 with a size standard of 500 employees.
