Description

The VA Medical Center, Cooper Drive Division, Lexington, Kentucky has a construction requirement for Project 596A4-10-101, Replace Low Voltage Equipment. Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor and materials and perform work as required by the drawings and specifications. Work shall include removal, replacement, and relocation of various system components as identified in the drawings. NAICS code assigned to this project is 238210 with a small business size standard of $14.0 million. The estimated cost range for this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $2,000,000.00. THIS PROCUREMENT IS 100% SET ASIDE TO SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB) CONTRACTORS. The SDVOSB Contractor is required to perform a minimum of 25% of the construction work on the project. This does not include paperwork, submittals, etc. The SDVOSB must be small under relevant NAICS code and must be registered and verified in the following websites: www.vipvetbiz.gov; www.ccr.gov; www.orca.bpn.gov; and www.vets100.vet.dol.gov. Contractors shall submit Joint Venture Agreements with their bid. Contractors are not allowed to submit more than three bids in a two-year period under the name of their Joint Venture. The solicitation will be posted o/a June 10, 2011. Pre-bid conference will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on June 23, 2011 in Rm. D206, Cooper Drive division. Bid opening will be held at 3:00 p.m. on July 12, 2011 in Rm. 216, Engineering Conference Room, Leestown Road Division. All requests for information on this solicitation shall be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer at e-mail: connie.mabley@va.gov and received before June 28, 2011.
