Description
THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. This Announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Synopsis. This is not a Request for Proposal and will be used to identify SBA Certified 8(a), HubZone and Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) firms and Small Business for the purpose of determining how the solicitation will be advertised. We are seeking SBA Certified 8(a) Firms, HubZone, and Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Firms and Small Business. This sources sought announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. NOTE: IF YOU DO NOT INTEND TO SUBMIT A BID ON THIS PROJECT WHEN IT IS FORMALLY ADVERTISED, PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT A RESPONSE TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS. If we do not receive an adequate number of qualified respondents (i.e. two or more responsible firms), the solicitation shall be issued on an unrestricted basis and all firms regardless of size shall be eligible and encouraged to compete for this project. The Project Description for the Improvement and Renovations to Navy Radio Transmitter Facility (NRTF) Aguada PR includes the following: the NRTF is located in Aguada PR off of PR-441. The scope will include exterior and interior renovation and repair of the existing building 2901 and its' infrastructure. New work consists of construction of a new maintenance building with asphalt approach drive, new voltage regulators with concrete pad, expansion of government owned electrical sub-station, new fire suppression throughout with an external water storage tank and pump, and new asphalt pavement parking for six (6) vehicles. Renovation work includes: kitchen renovation, major electrical and HVAC component renovation, telecommunications renovation, a new built up roof, new force protection windows, new suspended ceilings, new chain link fence dead-man cages, new property gates and demolition. At present the existing site is partially developed with the remainder consisting of undeveloped grassy area. The site contains a 1200 foot tall transmission tower with multiple guy wires and dead-man anchors in various locations throughout. It is expected that deep stone column soil stabilization will be required beneath new construction. The Magnitude of Construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Please provide a Statement of Capability (SOC) stating your skills, experience, and knowledge required to perform the specified type of work. This SOC should be a brief description of your company's capabilities. The potential bidders should provide brief references of relevant work they have performed and the magnitude of construction. Also, interested contractors must include bonding information (on the bonding company letterhead) that the company has the capability to provide bonding up to $5 million.
