- The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Acquisition and Logistics, Technology Acquisition Center, located at 260 Industrial Way West, Eatontown, NJ, intends to enter into a six (6) month Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract with three (3) one (1) month option periods, on the basis of other than full and open competition, for support services for the VA Service Desk (VASD). In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 8127(c) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-5 "Authorized or required by statute", this acquisition will be a sole source set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Management Support Technology, Inc (MSTI), 9990 Fairfax Boulevard, Suite 300, Fairfax, Virginia, 22030. The contract will provide contract staff to work with the VASD. The VASD provides a central point of contact for enterprise-class information technology (IT) service and support via phone and email, as well as outage notifications and information dissemination in VA twenty four hours a day, seven days per week. The VASD function operates out of the Tuscaloosa, Alabama Field Office, while maintaining a secondary operation at the Hines, Illinois Field Office and minimal staff at the Silver Spring Maryland Field Office. The key functions of the required support services include, but are not limited to, service desk/IT support, quality management, and maintenance and support of VASD service management tools and technologies. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) Code/Size is 541513/$25M. This notification shall close on Friday, June 10, 2011.
