- The USDA, U.S. Forest Service, Shoshone National Forest is conducting a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE for market research ONLY to determine the availability of potential small business categories, such as 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned or Woman Owned Small Businesses that are interested in performing this requirement. NO AWARD will be made from this sources sought. No solicitation, specifications or drawings are available at this time; therefore do not request a copy of a solicitation. Responses to this announcement are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responses will not be used for evaluation in any resultant solicitation for this requirement. The Government shall not be held responsible for any costs incurred in response to this sources sought announcement. Participation is strictly voluntary. Respondents should also note that the Government will not return any information submitted in response to this RFI. Respondents should not submit any proprietary information when responding to this RFI. Only those firms responding to this announcement by submitting the following information will be used in determining whether to set aside this requirement. The construction project entitled, Shoshone NF Fence IDIQ- The Government intends to make multiple awards of Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Contracts for fence construction and related services. Work may be performed at any location within the North Zone (Wapiti, Greybull, and Clarks Fork) of the Shoshone National Forest. All work is in remote high altitude locations. The work shall consist of, but not, be limited to, furnishing and installing three strand, smooth wire, high-tension electric fence, braces, buck and pole fence, post and rail fence, 4 rail continuous metal fence, gates and cattle guards, and fence removal. Each Task Order will identify a project specific location. Work may be performed at any location within the boundaries of North Zone of the Shoshone National Forest. The Shoshone National Forest Service is located in northwest Wyoming. The period of performance will be a base plus two option years. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 238990 and the associated small business size standard is $14,000,000.00. The principal features of work to be performed under this contract include the following: Furnishing and installing: three strand, smooth wire, high-tension electric fence, braces, buck and pole fence, post and rail fence, 4 rail continuous metal fence, gates and cattle guards, and fence removal. SOURCE REQUEST INFORMATION In order to determine the extent of industry interest and experience in the requirement, all contractors interested in providing the stand treatment as described must submit a written response to this office (USDA Forest Service-R2 AQM / Cody, Attention: David H. Johnson, 808 Meadow Lane, Cody, WY 82414, email davidhjohnson@fs.fed.us, or FAX (307) 578-5169 no later than by 23, May 2011, 4:00 pm, MT. The responses shall include: 1) Name of firm, point of contact, mailing address, and phone, Tax ID number and DUNS Number. 2) Identification of the appropriate business classification (to include 8(a), HubZone or SDVOSB, Woman Owned Small Business, or other than small business as indicated at www.ccr.gov 3) List prior/current corporate experience (private and/or government) performing efforts of similar size and scope within the last three years. Statements should include: A. Brief description of services provided, to include dollar value. B. Customer/purchaser. Point of Contact with phone number, and a description of the experience and how the referenced experience relates to the services described herein.
