Description
This is a notice of the Government's intent to solicit, negotiate and award a small business set-aside competitive non-personal services contract, 12 month base period (01 October 11 - 30 September12), 4 -12 month option periods (01 October 12 - 30 September 16) and a potential 6 month extension of services (01 October 16 - 31 March 17), IAW FAR 52.217-8. The Contractor shall supply ambulance services support for Fort Indiantown Gap Clinic, Fort Indiantown Gap, PA, under the supervsion of Dunham Army Health Clinic, Carlisle Barracks, PA. These services shall be provided for all persons on Fort Indiantown Gap (FIG), PA at no cost to any individual. The Fort Indiantown Gap Fire Department will respond as the first responder providing basic care. Then, a single ambulance unit with the appropriate level of clinical care will respond, either Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Life Support (ALS). This ambulance service shall include care provided by Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) to meet emergency (911) response requires patient transport from Fort Indiantown Gap (FIG) MTF to outside medical facilities for higher level of care. The patient transport services shall be in-between one medical facility and another, or between the patient pickup area and the medical treatment facility (MTF). Services shall consist of patient transport for two categories of patient: Routine Patient Transport (PT), Basic Life Support (BLS). These Categories are defined as follows: Routine Patient Transport: Patient care requirements all require the support covered under the scope of practice of the EMT and necessitate the need for a full EMT crew onboard the vehicle, with one being the drive. Basic Life Support: Patient care requirements all require at a minimum the support covered under the scope of practice of EMT and necessitate the need for a full EMT crew or higher onboard the vehicle, with one being the driver. The Request for Proposals (RFP) for this non personal contract will be published at a later date. This notice is an urgent requirement for Fort Indiantown Gap, PA. Parties interested in future announcements on this procurement shall provide detailed information of their capabilities and certifications to clearly meet the requirements stated above.
