This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-26. The solicitation number is E11PS00960 and is issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ). NAICS code: 333611. Size Standard is 1000 employees. No paper copies will be sent. Notifications of any changes will be made as modifications to this announcement. To receive an award, vendor must maintain a current registration at www.ccr.gov. The National Park Service, Yosemite National Park (YOSE), intends to issue a Firm Fix Price Contract for two (2) skid mounted air cooled diesel engine driven 15Kw generator sets equipped with electronic digital controllers ObjectiveNational Park Service Yosemite desires to solicit qualified proposals to furnish two (2) each skid mounted air cooled diesel engine driven 15Kw generator sets equipped with electronic digital controllers. IntroductionWawona Utilities, located in Wawona in Yosemite National Park on Hwy 41 is requesting specific emergency backup generators to operate two lift stations in Wawona. Vendors must be within call out range to assist in any emergencies of generators, preferably within a 2 hour drive. BackgroundLift stations 7&8 are two (2) critical sewage lift stations located next to the protected South Fork Merced River. These lift stations are part of the Wawona wastewater collection system. The Parks effort to follow environmental sustainability, the Merced River Plan, Environmental Protection Agency regulations, public health and California pollution laws requires replacement of stand-by emergency generators located at these two (2) lift stations. Recent 190 hour power outage created engine and generator problems requiring replacement. Engine exhaust to atmosphere is non-compliant. It is not cost effective to perform major repairs. Gensets installed in 1997 are past life expectancy. Engine SpecificationsEngine-Air cooled, Tier IViAir Cooled Diesel Engine, engine must be capable of 15kW at 4K feet elevation.
