- Description
- The National Park Service (NPS) intends to issue a Prospectus soliciting for proposals in response to a business opportunity to operate overnight accommodations, food and beverage, retail, and related services at Log Cabin Resort within Olympic National Park. The NPS will issue the Prospectus on Thursday, May 12, 2011, under the terms described in the Prospectus. The existing Concession Contract between the NPS and the existing Concessioner expires on December 31, 201. The Director, pursuant to 36 C.F.R. Part 51, has determined that the existing Concessioner is NOT a preferred Offeror for the Contract to be awarded. The term of the new Concession Contract will be for ten (10) years. Any proposal, including that of the existing Concessioner, must be received by the National Park Service, Golden Gate National Recreation Area, Attn: Business Management Office, Fort Mason, Building 201, San Francisco, California, 94123 no later than July 28, 2011 in order to be evaluated and considered for award of a Concession Contract. The Pacific West Regional Office is moving from Oakland, CA to San Francisco, CA during the period of time in which the proposals are due, therefore the location for which all Offerors submit the proposals must be submitted to Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Proposals are due no later than 4:00 p.m. (Pacific Time) Thursday, July 28, 2011. There is a printing cost recovery charge of $50 per copy to be delivered via Federal Express or $40 per copy if picked up in person. Checks or money orders (no cash or credit cards accepted) must be payable to the National Park Service; and you must include a business address (no post office box) to receive a Federal Express package. Prospectus packages will be available by contacting Isabel Alvarado, Commercial Services Specialist, Pacific West Region, Commercial Services, via telephone at 510-817-1471 or you may email Isabel Alvarado at isabel_alvarado@nps.gov. The Prospectus will also be available after May 12, 2011, at http://concessions.nps.gov/index.htm. If you choose to retrieve a copy of the Prospectus from the NPS website, please notify Isabel Alvarado, so you are placed on the mailing list to receive notifications of any future modifications or other correspondence. A one-day site visit, as previously announced, is scheduled for Friday, May 20, 2011. If you would like to participate in this site visit, you must RSVP to Lisa Hilt, Concession Management Specialist, Olympic National Park, at 360-565-3007 or lisa_hilt@nps.gov for additional information regarding the time and location of the site visit and to reserve a spot. Potential Offerors are encouraged to visit the Concession operation and facilities, however the NPS will perform only one site visit on the date identified above.
