- 54-The Department of Energy, Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) plans to issue a solicitation for a firm-fixed price (FFP), indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ), commercial item contract for Heavy Duty Transmission Line Steel Poles for the Desert Southwest Regional Office, located in Phoenix, AZ. The term of the contract will be five years. The contract will include an economic price adjustment clause based on the index from Department of Labor, Product Price Index (PPI), Product Classification Code 332312. The steel pole structures will be delivered to various locations in Arizona and California. Individual Delivery Orders (DO's) will be issued against the Master IDIQ contract with funding and project specific information. The total magnitude of this contract is estimated at between $10 and $20 Million. This acquisition is UNRESTRICTED - FULL AND OPEN competition, competitive proposal, for large and small business participation. The applicable NAICS is 332312 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. Prospective vendors shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database (www.ccr.gov). The solicitation, specifications and drawings, and any subsequent amendments will only be available in electronic format, downloadable from the Internet at www.fedbizopps.gov on or about June 3, 2011. No CD-ROM's or hardcopy documents will be distributed. It is the responsibility of the offerors to monitor the website for notices and amendments. No phone calls will be accepted.
