- 418 WMSL, National Security Cutter Blade and Rudder Stock Construction Specification, dated 5-11-10. This is a Sources Sought Notice only. It is not a solicitation announcement. This notice is a market research tool being utilized to determine the availability of potential sources who can provide the following items: Quantity two (2) 2040 01-549-7870, Rudder Stock for the United States Coast Guard (USCG) 418 FT WMSL National Security Cutter., part number ASC562003-1001 Quantity two (2) 1615-01-549-7208, Rudder Blade for the USCG 418 FT WMSL National Security Cutter, part number ASC562002 Rev B. Responses to this sources sought notice will be used to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought notice, and if the Government plans to proceed with the acquisition, a solicitation announcement will be published in Federal Business Opportunities. STATEMENT OF CAPABILITY FORMAT AND CONTENT Responses from both large and small businesses are considered at this time. Address your ability to provide the Rudder Stock and Blades in accordance with the attached 418 WMSL, National Security Cutter Rudder Blade and Rudder Stock Construction Specification, P-562-0598, dated 5-11-10. Provide information concerning any licensing rights you possess on the listed equipment. Provide references to equivalent type of work performed in the past five (5) years Provide customer contract number, company or Point of Contact (POC) name and phone number Indicate your company business size and status (i.e. Small Disadvantaged Business, Small Disabled Veteran-Owned Small business, etc). If you are a small business, you must be an approved Small Business Administration (SBA) firm (including Mentor-Protégé Joint Venture firms). For more information on the definition or requirements for these, refer to http://www.sba.gov/. Capability statement limit is five (5) pages. All Capability Statements shall be received at this email address no later than 2:00 p.m. Pacific time on May 23, 2011 and shall reference HSCG40-11-R-30276 on both the email subject line and on the submitted documents. Information and materials submitted in response to this notice will not be returned. Classified material shall not be submitted. All responses shall include Company Name (including particular company business unit), Company Address, POC including name, phone number, fax number, email address. Also included shall be the following: Indicate whether your company (and specific business unit) is registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR), www.ccr.gov. Indicate whether your company (and specific business unit) has completed annual representations and certifications in the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). Provide your business unit's DUNS Number Provide your business unit's Cage Code. DISCLAIMER This Sources Sought Notice is for Informational purposes only. This is not a request for proposal. It does not constitute a solicitation and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government. Responses in any form are not offers and the Government is under no obligation to award a contract as a result of this notice. No funds are available to pay for preparation of responses to this notice. Therefore, no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this notice and any follow-up information requests. Any information by respondents to this notice is strictly voluntary. If adequate responses are not received from small businesses, the acquisition may be solicited on an unrestricted basis. All data received in response to this Sources Sought Synopsis marked or designated as corporate or proprietary information will be fully protected from release outside the government. Responses received after the deadline or without the required information shall be considered unacceptable and will not be considered.
