- The Forest Service requires approximately 1050 Tons of Magnesium Chloride or 947 Tons of Calcium Chloride dust abatement to be spread on approximately 64 miles of Forest Service roads on the Salmon-Challis National Forest, Lemhi and Custer Counties, Idaho. This project will be advertised as a performance-based commercial item written quotation and will be solicited under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). Target delivery date is mid-June. The actual delivery date will depend upon road and weather conditions. Quotes are due at 3:00 p.m. MST, June 6, 2011. The solicitation will be available on approximately May 16, 2011 and may be downloaded from this site at that time. All future information about this acquisition, including amendments, will be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Vendors are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) http:www.ccr.gov and shall complete the On-Line Registration and Certifications Application (ORCA) http://orca.bpn.gov. All responsible sources may submit a response to this announcement which will be considered by this agency
