- AG-4431-S-11-0004 SPECIFICATIONS SOW EXPANSTION OF EXISTING IRRIGATION SYSTEM AG-4431-S-11-0004 SOLICITATION PACKAGE, EXPANSION OF EXISTING IRRIGATION SYSTEM The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Mid South Area, anticipates award of a firm fixed price contract for a project entitled 'Expansion of Existing Irrigation System' at the USDA, ARS, Sugarcane Research Unit's, Ardoyne Research Farm, 501 Bull Run Road, Schriever, Louisiana 70395. The work includes but is not limited to: The Contractor shall be responsible for supplying all labor, equipment, supervision, and materials required for the expansion of the existing irrigation system. The period of performance is 60 calendar days from date of award. The magnitude of construction is estimated between $25,000 and $100,000. This is a 100% set-aside for competition among Small Business Contractors. The NAICS Code is 237110, with a size standard of $33.5 million. This will be a Request for Quote (RFQ) and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-51. RFQ No. AG-4431-S-11-0004 documents will be available for viewing and downloading at the Fed Biz Opps web site: www.fedbizopps.gov on or about May 4, 2011. A pre-bid site visit is scheduled for Tuesday, May, 17, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. CT. Any changes or additional information will be provided in the solicitation package. Bids will be due by 4:00 p.m., COB on June 13, 2011. A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror who submits the lowest bid. All responsible Small Businesses may submit an offer which will be considered by the agency. Contractors are required to be actively registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to receive a contract award under this solicitation. You can register on line at www.ccr.gov. If you are already registered and your registration has expired, you will need to go the CCR website and update your information.
