- This is a synopsis for a commercial acquisition using simplified acquisition procedures (reference FAR Parts 12 and 13). The Air Force Security Assistance Center (AFSAC) has a requirement for the procurement of seventy-nine (79) surplus aviation spare parts to support the Egyptian Air Force F-16 program. The proposed contract is a full and open procurement initiative. The government intends to make a single award to the offeror which represents the lowest-price-technically acceptable offer. Solicitation FA8630-11-R-5028 will be issued as a Request for Proposal. The solicitation will be advertised with a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 336413. The solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 17 May 2011 at www.fbo.gov. Proposals should be submitted via e-mail to donald.tam@us.af.mil.
