- This announcement serves as notice to all potential offerors that the 48th Fighter Wing Contracting Squadron (48CONS), Building 977, RAF Lakenheath, United Kingdom anticipates publicizing a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) under solicitation number FA5587-11-R-0006 for Furnishings Management Office (FMO) Appliance/Furniture Haulage and Repair services. The NAICS Code for this solicitation is 488510 - Freight Transportation Arrangement. 48CONS is advertising its' intent to post the RFP on 16 June 2011 for a requirement for the delivery, installation, disconnection, and pick-up of domestic household furniture and appliances to and from government designated residences, dormitories, lodging facilities, and fire stations in support of the FMO at RAF Feltwell, United Kingdom. The contractor shall provide the following services at RAF's Lakenheath, Mildenhall, Feltwell, and its' surrounding residential areas. The duration of this contract is prescribed as a four year, eleven month ordering period from 01 Nov 2011 to 30 Sep 2016, and will be issued under full and open competition procedures with an anticipated award date of 01 Oct 2011.
