- Description
- The United States Coast Guard (USCG) Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC), Long Range Enforcer Product Line (LREPL) will utilize other than full and open competition to award a contract for the purchase of the following items: Coupling Hydraulic Flange; Coupling Hydraulic, Sleeves; Bolt, Hydraulic Coupling as spare parts for the National Security Cutter (NSC) class of ships SKF Coupling Systems, AB is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and the only known source with the proprietary knowledge and technical data to provide these items to the Government. The OEM manufactures these items and distributes them in the United States via SKF USA, INC. Therefore, the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only the OEM under the authority of 6.302. The following supplies are required: Coupling, Flange, Part Number OFKA 460/25961, NSN 4730-01-549-8387, Quantity - 2 Coupling Sleeve, Part Number OKCA 460/26069, NSN 3010-01-549-8820, Quantity - 2 Coupling Sleeve, Part Number OKC 560/26036, NSN 3010-01-549-8826, Quantity - 2 Bolt, Hydraulic, Part Number OBKS 52.0X195.04.12803, NSN 5306-01-549-9898, Quantity - 24 Interested parties are invited to submit responses to this notice within fifteen (15) calendar days from the date of this notice. Responses must include the following information: (1) complete and current engineering data to demonstrate the acceptability of the offered parts (i.e., salient physical, functional, and performance characteristics) and (2) data that the offered parts have been satisfactorily manufactured for the Government. This data must include sufficient information to allow the Government to evaluate the information relative to the above requirements. This notice is not a request for proposals. However, all responses received within 15 days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Inquiries/information received after the established deadline shall not be considered for this acquisition. The submission of this data for review shall not impede award of this contract.
