Description
DLA Distribution, Acquisition Operations (J7) is currently conducting preliminary market research to determine the availability of viable domestic sources capable of providing two (2) 2011 model four door micro utility pickup vehicles (see description below). This is not a solicitation, nor does it guarantee a solicitation will be issued. This is a request to determine whether or not any companies are capable of providing the vehicles and business size status based under NAICS 423110 of interested parties. DFARS SUBPART 225.1- BUY AMERICAN ACT-SUPPLIES applies to this Sources Sought. REFERENCE DFARS 225.1 - BUY AMERICAN ACT --SUPPLIES - For further information/details regarding these and other DOD contracting regulations, please visit http://www.farsite.hill.af.mil For DoD, the following two-part test determines whether a manufactured end product is a domestic end product: The end product is manufactured in the United States; and The cost of its U.S. and qualifying country components exceeds 50 percent of the cost of all its components. This test is applied to end products only and not to individual components. The vehicles required must at a minimum meet the following characteristics: 2011 model four door micro utility pickup w/flatbed and side panels. Vehicles shall be from 2011 model year and a gasoline fuel based operation. 1.Vehicles shall have a four doors with the capability of transporting four passengers safety or Crew Cab type 2.Vehicles shall have a rear flat bed with sides and tailgate 3.Vehicles shall be equipped with air conditioning and heating 4.Vehicles shall have the capability to travel at 25 MPH 5.Vehicles shall have a manual transmission 6.Engine: Electronic Fuel Injection, Four cylinder 7.Vehicles shall have power Steering or Rack and Pinion 8.Electrical 12 VDC high output alternator with 12 volt battery 9.Vehicles shall provide front row seat utilizing legroom adjustment and headrest adjustment. All seat must provide seat belt safety with adjustment 10.Vehicles shall have standard tires & rims capable of transporting/running on smooth concrete, and asphalt surfaces. 11.Vehicles shall have, Windshield Wipers, Headlights, Turn Signals, Brake Lights, Horn, and Seat Belts. DLA Distribution is seeking industry information and comments from sources capable of providing requested requirement above. Interested parties shall complete and submit the attached Market Research Questionnaire to the Government. Responses to the Market Research Questionnaire are encouraged from all interested parties. You are advised that providing responses to the questions will not automatically include you in the acquisition process for future solicitation. As a reminder, the Government is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. Since this Sources Sought Notification is for information and planning purposes, no evaluation letters or results will be issued to respondents. Submission of any information in response to this sources sought notice is completely voluntary, and shall not constitute a fee to the Government.
