- This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.6, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. This combined synopsis/solicitation SHALL be posted on both FEDBIZOPPS and NECO (http://www.neco.navy.mil/). The RFQ number is N40085-11-Q-1961. This solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 2005-50 and DFARS Change Notice 2011-0427. It is the responsibility of the contractor to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. The clauses may be accessed in full text at these addresses: www.acqnet.gov/far and http://www.acq.osd.mil/dpap/dfars/index.htm. The NAICS code is 335911 and the Small Business Standard is 500 employees. This is a 100% small business set-aside action and the award will be made on a Firm “Fixed Price, Commercial Item type purchase order. The FISC Norfolk Philadelphia office requests responses from qualified sources capable of providing CLIN 0001 (15 EACH) Battery 36VDC 18-p95-21EE. The salient characteristics are as follows: 1.) 36 volts 2.) 18 cell 3.) 950 amp hour 4.) (EE) rated for handling explosives 5.) 38 3/16 X 24 9/16 x 23 1/2 Battery type: 18-p95-21 6.) Top cover must be hinged between 25% 75% doors for accessing battery cells. (Refer to picture provided.) 7.) Positive and negative cables need to be bolted on post. For safe repair and maintenance. 8.) Battery lifting eyes must be raised above top cover. (Refer to picture.) 9.) Battery connector type is an Anderson connector part # 5810b. (Refer to picture.) 10.) Battery cells must have flip up covers for adding distilled water 11.) Battery cables must be 2/0 awg that bolt to terminal. (Refer to picture.) 12.) Battery cables must be 2 ft long out of battery tray box to reach connector on forklift. Delivery for CLIN 0001 (15 EACH) is 14 days after the date of award. Delivery of all 15 units is FOB Destination to the following location: N.W.S.EARLE NJ. BLDG C-50, 201 HWY.34 SOUTH COLTS NECK NJ.07722, ATTN: ALAN FEEHAN. Responsibility and Inspection: unless otherwise specified in the order, the supplier is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements and quality control. The following FAR provision and clauses are applicable to this procurement: 52.204-7, Central Contractor Registration; 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial Items; 52.212-3 and its ALT I, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items; 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items; 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders - Commercial Items including (b) (4), (6),(10), (23),(24), (25), (26), (27), (28), (29), (35), (39) and (44). Quoters shall include a completed copy of 52.212-3 and its ALT I with quotes. All clauses shall be incorporated by reference (52.252-2, Clauses Incorporated By Reference) in the order. Additional contract terms and conditions applicable to this procurement are: DFARS 242-204-7004 ALTA, Required Central Contractor Registration; DFARS 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items including, (b) (5)(i), (14)(i), (17), and (19) DFARS 252.225-7035, Buy American Act-Free Trade Agreements ”Balance of Payments Program Certificate; This announcement will close at 3:00 PM on 13 May 2011.
