- Description
- USACE, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) Contracting Office intends to issue a sole source award to Comsol, Inc., 1 New England Executive Park STE 350, Burlington, MA, 01803-5001. This procurement is to renew four licenses for a commercial multi-physics, finite element modeling software package. These capabilities are essential tools used in current reimbursable and military-direct programs; software being procured must be compatible with existing programs. Failure to renew this software will render all previous modeling performed with the software package non useable and will result in the loss of access to cutting edge simulations. The Government intends to procure from only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), test program for commercial items (section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996). This will be a commercial acquisition using simplified acquisition procedures per FAR 13. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation to the Contract Specialist by 12:00 PM CST, Monday, May 16 2011.
