Description
The U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, Europe District, is soliciting firms who are interested in proposing on a Firm Fixed Priced (FFP) Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) contracts to provide real property repair and maintenance, environmental work, force protection work, and construction services. The majority of the work to be performed under the contract will be new construction. There will be one solicitation for two geographical locations within Africa, Southern and Central. There will be multiple awards (two (2) or more) as a result of this one solicitation. The geographical location is defined as follows: Africa MATOC Southern: The geographical area covered by this contract includes work to be performed in Botswana, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Africa MATOC Central: The geographical area covered by this contract includes work to be performed in Angola, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Democratic Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Republic of Congo, Rwanda, and Sao Tome & Principe. The government may award 15% of the contract in other countries in Africa. Task Orders will primarily address general building renovation, road and pavement repair, and general environmental work including, but not limited to, incidental general construction, buildings or barrack type structures, pre-engineered buildings, utilities, concrete/asphalt roads and pavements, sewer systems, sanitation systems, excavation, plumbing, demolition, electrical, structural, mechanical, concrete work, and environmental remedial work. The contracts will consist of base year period and includes two (2) option periods of 1 year each with a minimum of $5,000 for the contract. The estimated contract value is $4,000,000 dollars per year for base and option year capacity with a contract value not-to-exceed $12,000,000 dollars total contract capacity for all periods. Responses are desired from firms who can demonstrate recent and relevant experience and past performance in design/construction in Africa, but expressions of interests will be accepted from all interested parties. Solicitation will be issued on or about 6 May 2011. Prime construction firms are required to provide their physical address, along with a telephone number, facsimile number, an English-speaking point of contact and e-mail address. Requests that do not provide complete information will not be considered. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information provided. The solicitation will be issued free of charge by downloading from a designated website. The website address will be provided to all qualified offerors at a later date.
