Description
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) awarded this effort under N00383-06-D-001J, via bilateral modification with The Boeing Company. The requirement is to increase the current Hornet Support Network support to include Expeditionary Field Service Representatives (FSRs) in support of the E/A-18G Growler aircraft stationed overseas. The contractor will be required to provide one FSR team consisting of one each; Airborne Electronic Attack Rep; AESA Radar Rep; E/F/G Air Vehicle Rep; and an E/F/G Avionics Rep. It is anticipated that the period of performance will be eight months, including a six month deployment. This award is based on Title 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), whereby the supplies or services required are available from only one source, and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Boeing Company is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer, and supplier of the F/A-18G Growler aircraft and is uniquely qualified to provide the complete range of program support required by the Fleet. The Boeing Company is the only known firm that possesses the technical data, resources, and expertise necessary to fulfill the Government's requirements. Points of contact for this announcement are: Contract Specialist Karen Johnston at (301)757-4224, karen.johnston@navy.mil and Contracting Officer Melanie Bateman at (301)757-6572, melanie.bateman@navy.mil.
