- Description
- The Sioux Falls VA Health Care System intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to solicit a single, firm fixed-price, construction contract for the "Repair Roof Leaks, Bldg 5" located at 2501 West 22nd Street, Sioux Falls, SD. The project includes but is not limited to exposing existing roof deck and installing a fully adhered roof membrane on the exterior of the VA medical center. On the interior of the VA medical center wall, ceiling, and flooring finishes will be repaired as related to damage caused by roof leaks. The existing roof deck is covered by a patio area consisting of concrete flatwork, brick planters, concrete steps and ramps, topsoil with grass, and an aggregate membrane. To expose the roof deck all existing items listed above will have to be removed possibly with small equipment as there is a floor below. This project may require off hours of construction (after 5PM and before 7AM). Specifications will be available on/about 20 May 2011. The magnitude of the construction for this project is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The total construction performance period is 120 calendar days after receipts of Notice To Proceed. The date for the pre-proposal site visit will be announced at the time of solicitation issuance. This procurement is 100% set-aside for SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB). All bidders must be registered in CCR at http://www.ccr.gov, ORCA at https://orca.bpn.gov/, and at VETBIZ http://www.vetbiz.gov to be eligible for award. NAICS 236220 applies-size standard is $33.5 million. Bid Bond will be required in the amount of 20% of bid, and Performance and Payment bonds will be required upon award of contract. Specifications and drawings will be available electronically only. Specs and plans will be available for download from the fedbizopps site. http://fbo.gov All parties must obtain amendments to the solicitation through this web site. Interested parties must go to the web site to be entered on the Interested Vendors List and or to obtain copies of the Interested Vendors List.. Failure to acknowledge amendments in submitted packages requires the elimination of proposal from consideration.
