- THIS PROCUREMENT IS A 100% "BUY INDIAN ACT" SET-ASIDE. Invitation for Bid (IFB / Sealed Bid) Solicitation Document Number A11PS00301 is issued on 05-04-2011. Closing Date for receipt of sealed bids is 06-02-2011, Thursday, 2:00 PM Phoenix, Arizona, local time. Interested firms are required to obtain a copy of the solicitation package and any amendments to the solicitation document on website www.fbo.gov. No hardcopies of the solicitation package are available from the BIA. This notice is released to announce the Department of the Interior, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Western Regional Offices' intent to award a fixed price contract for Roads Construction Project PIR 232 (1) Phase 2, Sikul Himatk Road. The contractor shall furnish all labor, servcies, equipment, personnel, supervision, materials, supervision, transportation, and other incidentals necessary to perform and complete the work for Project PIR 232 (1) - Phase 2, Sikul Himatk Road, to Grade, Drain, Place Aggregate Base Course, Double Chip Seal Coat, Construct Dip Sections, Final Fog Seal and Pavement Markings for 2.442 miles on BIA Route 232 on the Tohono O'odham Nation Reservation, Pima County, Arizona. All work shall be in accordance with this contract and the drawings, and FP-03 U.S. Customary Units Specifications, and with all applicable Federal, State, Tribal and Local Codes and Regulations. The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), Western Regional Office (WRO) requires a Fixed Price Construction Contract, and the procurement method is Sealed Bid Procedures, FAR Part 14 and 36. The solicitation is a 100% "Buy Indian Act" Set-Aside. The estimated dollar value of this procurement is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The Period of Performance is 150 calendar days. Potential bidders are encouraged to inspect the site where the work will be performed. This project is classified under NAICS Code 237310 and has a size standard of $33.5 Million. A 20% Bid Bond is required with the bid package. 100% Performance and Payment Bonds and Certificate of Insurance are required after award of contract. All technical questions must be submitted in writing at least ten (10) calendar days prior to the established Bid Opening Date. Submit questions to e-mail address: Gerald.Knox@bia.gov. Bid Opening will occur on June 2, 2011, Thursday, 2:00 PM, Phoenix, AZ local time, in the BIA WRO Room #450.
