- Description
- The U.S. Geological Survey, Alaska Science Center, Anchorage, AK intends to make a non-competitive award to North Pacific Wildlife Consulting, LLC, 12600 Elmore Road, Anchorage, AK to provide services for radio-tagging of Pacific walruses at Russian Chukchi Sea coastal haul-outs. The Contractor is unique in the field of environmental consulting in that it specializes in joint US/Russian research of marine mammal stocks. They are intimately familiar with the permitting requirements for conducting scientific research in Russian territorial waters. The NAICS code is 541620, Environmental Consulting Services, Size Standard $7.0M. The Government intends to award this requirement non-competitively in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b) and the procedures of FAR Part 12, entitled Acquisition of commercial Items. Responsible sources may submit a capabilities statement or quotation which will be considered by the USGS, provided it is submitted by the closing date of this announcement. As required by FAR 5.101(a)(1), the forthcoming Request for Quote (G11PS00397) will be made available through the GPE on or about May 11, 2011, whether or not competitive opportunities have been identified.
