- The Cherry Point Satellite Contract Officer, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS), Cherry Point, NC 28533 hereby gives notice of intent to award a sole source purchase order to Honeywell International, Inc., Defense & Space, 1300 West Warner Road, PO Box 22200, Tempe, AZ 85285-22200, (Cage Code: 02LU7 and 59364). Market research has revealed this contractor is the only source capable of providing the direct replacement aircraft part required. The Fleet Readiness Center (FRC) East, MCAS Cherry Point, NC intends to procure 30 each body assembly, valve, part number 3169890-1, NSN 4810-01-424-3241 from Honeywell International, Inc. Honeywell International, Inc. is the manufacturer of this aircraft part and is the only company authorized to manufacture the part under the NSN. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all quotes received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered. Interested parties may identify their interest and unique capabilities to respond to this requirement or submit their quote. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
