- UPDATE: MAY 02, 2011: THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF SOLICITATION ISSUANCE. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, MD has modified the previously-described requirement by reducing the number of aircraft to be supported under the C-9 Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) follow-on contract from 19 aircraft at seven locations to seven aircraft at three locations. The responses from this Sources Sought will be used to determine if any Small Business Set-Aside opportunities exist. All Small Business Set-Aside categories will be considered. This procurement will provide CLS consisting of Airframe Depot, Engine Depot, and Site Support services for the Navy's four C-9B aircraft, the Marine's two C-9B aircraft, and NASA's one DC-9 aircraft. Various draft documents are available for review and comment on the following NAVAIR Website: www.navair.navy.mil. It is requested that potential offerors who believe they possess the demonstrated expertise to fulfill the Navy's revised C-9 CLS requirement provide a Capability Statement to Ms. Cindi Hodskins at Cindi.hodskins@navy.mil no later than 13 May 2011. The Capability Statement should indicate whether the interested firm is a large business, small business, small disadvantaged business, women-owned small business, or other socio-economic classification under NAICS Code 488190: Other Support Activities for Air Transportation, and include the firm's contact information. The Capability Statement should also include the required certifications, experience on similar efforts, past performance information (if applicable), advantageous features of their potential solution, and any other information that clearly demonstrates the firm's capability to meet the requirement. The Capability Statement should be no more than 10 pages long.
