- Duration of training: 2 days Service will be performed at: Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany Attendees: 10-20 Scope of Work: The two day training session will be performed in a classroom environment with the trainer initially discussing the environment of network management and its implementation by the Orion software. This will be followed by a detailed run through of the software. Manuals: Either electronic or physical will need to be presented to each attendee for further reference. Furthermore an additional two copies of the manual will also be provided. Objectives: The agenda of training topics are as follows: Overview of the SNMP protocol, terms and acronyms Installation and setup Overview Discovery Network Map Using System Manager Overview Adding Nodes Managing Interfaces Managing Volumes Events & Alarms Real Time Reporting Managing reports Database management Working with Devices Polling Defining Properties Customizing Device Types Custom Property Editor & Account Limitation Builder Universal Device Poller The Web Interface Starting Orion Network Performance Manager How to use Network Atlas Account manager Customizing Views Threshold setting Polling Engines Monitoring SNMP Devices SNMP overview Viewing SNMP manageable devices Graphing SNMP counters Receiving traps & syslog messages Reporting Report Writer Scheduling Reports ****************************************************** On-Base hotel accommodations will not be provided. All travel related expenses (airfare, per-diem, hotel, incidentals) need to be included in the total price. We will only accept one all-inclusive quote.
