Description
FOR MORE INFORMATION CONTACT: Scott Mahoney, RDER-PRA-GD, (443) 395-4769 This is a Market Survey to locate additional sources capable of reconditioning Diesel Engines, NSN: 2815-12-341-6896, Model BF8L513, to a Like New Condition (zero hours/zero miles). The subject engine is a 8-cylinder, four-stroke diesel engine with direct fuel injection, exhaust-driven turbochargers, and an electro-hydraulic fan made by Klockner-Humboldt-Deutz and drives the synchronous generator assembly in the EPP III. The EPP III provides power to the Radar Station and Engagement Control Station of the PATRIOT Missile Defense System. Suppliers capable of providing the required services must so indicate by writing via e-mail to scott.mahoney2@us.army.mil. The response must include documentation that demonstrates that the interested source can, in fact: Supply the Army with the services required; Obtain the parts needed for the required effort including production lead time, production capacity by month, surge capacity, number of years parts will be available, ranges for price breaks if applicable or any other information that could affect the acquisition, supply, and delivery of the parts; Complete the effort within a reasonable turn-around time; and perform the work in accordance with NMWR 9-6115-669-4 and Deutz Workshop Manual 291 1936 or 291 1950.
