- Description
- MEDCOM, Western Regional Contracting Office, Tacoma, Washington, intends to award a firm fixed price contract to; Carl Zeiss Meditec, Inc., in the amount of $29,842.20. (Base +2 years) for a Maintenance /Service Agreement in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1. This agreement is maintenance of (2) Opthalmoscope Laser Systems, & (1) Corneal Topography System located at Irwin Army Community Hospital, Ft Riley, KS. Service Period of Performance is: 01 May 2011 through 30 April 2012, with (2) Option years ending 30 April 2014 (if exercised). The maintenance agreement for the above analyzers is under proprietary rights by the manufacturer Carl Zeiss Meditec, Inc. and they are the only authorized company to provide maintenance, repair services and replacement parts. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to future requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, information received within forty-five days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a future competitive procurement.
