- Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) intends to issue a competitive solicitation to provide program management and technical services support for weapons systems, subsystems and components in support of the Trident II D5 Strategic Weapon System (SWS). Also included shall be a provision that would allow for level of effort increases up to thirty percent (30%). The Contractor shall perform services for SSP's document maintenance, systems engineering and information assurance support, and system safety and surety support required for the life extension and renewal of the SWS, subsystem and components. The contractor shall have thorough and complete knowledge of SSP's program management policies and procedures for the technical, programmatic and operational aspects of the TRIDENT II Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Weapon Systems, the TRIDENT Submarine Program, as well as the management and structure of other SSP support programs. Performance is scheduled to begin on 01 October 2011. As such, the contract will include a one-year base period for FY12 and two one-year options for FY13 through FY14. All key personnel must have a TOP SECRET clearance or higher. All other personnel who will do contract work must have clearances that are appropriate for their assignments. The solicitation (N00030-12-R-0013) will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web (www.neco.navy.mil) on or about May 2011. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be mailed.
