- Description
- This is an urgent requirement for the overhaul of the B1-BAircraft Float Valve. The contractor shall provide all labor,facilities, equipment and all material to accomplish repair, test,packing, preservation and packaging of the B1-B AircraftElectro-Mechanical Actuator. A teardown, test & evaluation (TT&E) firmfixed price (FFP) requirements type contract is contemplated.Overhaul/remanufacture is to be negotiated. The contract period will befor more than one year. The items and quantities are as follows: Item 0001: TT&E NSN 1680-01-149-3166RK, P/N's R1487M2-1; Applicable toB1-B aircraft; TT&E Quantity, 10 each. Deliveries are to be ARO 10 each per 30 days after receipt ofrepairables. Item 0002: Overhaul/remanufacture, NSN 1680-01-149-3166RK, P/N'sR1487M2-1; Applicable to B1-B aircraft; TT&E Quantity, 10 each. Deliveries are to be in accordance with instructions received from theProduction Management Specialist prior to shipment(s): 2 each AROReceipt of Order. Item 0003 Over and Above Work; Item 0004 Data IAW DD1423s. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS APPLY. For qualification information/sourceapproval requests contact Source Development Office, OC-ALC/BC (405)739-7243. Award will be based on meeting our requirements and cannot bedelayed pending qualifications of additional sources. APPROVED SOURCES is GE Aviation Systems LLC (Cage Code: 81039).Due to the Urgency the time frame for the synopsis is not required perFAR 5.202(a)(2). The solicitation issue date will be 27 April 2011closing 27 May 2011. PR number is FD2030-11-37020. NOTE: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors orpotential offerors during the proposal development phase of thisacquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish theauthority of the program director or contracting officer, but tocommunicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, andrecommendations to the appropriate government personnel. Whenrequested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as tosource of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in theevaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
