Description
The Wilmington VA Medical Center, 1601 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19805 intends to issue a Design/Build contract. Project # 460-10-206, 7th Floor Interior Finishes Renovation. The objective of the contract is to renovate the entire 7th floor of the main building on the Wilmington VA Medical Center campus to include the West Wing, East Wing, and Center including all rooms and corridors. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220. The U.S. Small Business Administration size standard is $33,500,000.00. The SOLICITATION issue date will be approximately May 13, 2011 with an approximate response date of June 12, 2011. The solicitation will be an Invitation for Bids and will be issued as a 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business set-aside. The project magnitude is between $1,000,000.00 and $2,000,000.00. The solicitation will result in a Firm-Fixed Priced Contract. Estimated contract performance is 365 calendar days from notice to proceed. Firms must have a current registration with the Central Contractors Registry http://www.ccr.gov/, the Vendor Information Pages http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/ and Certification and Representation, ORCA, https://orca.bpn.gov/. All perspective contractors interested in submitting a proposal on this solicitation must also have a commercial and government entity code (CAGE Code). The Center for Veteran Enterprises (CVE) shall verify a contractor ™s certification as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) before a contract will be awarded. This process takes a minimum of twenty “ one (21) days. Therefore, it would be helpful, but not mandatory, if all perspective bidders have a certification letter for the CVE before bids are submitted. The entire solicitation, including the specifications, will be made available only on the Electronic Posting System (EPS) web site https://www.fbo.gov/index?cck=1&au=&ck= Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review the EPS website frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents.
