- This presolicitation notice is amended to change the date the solicitation package will be available from May 5, 2011 to May 26, 2011. The site vist has been rescheduled from May 18 to June 8 at 10 am and the bids will be due by 3:00 pm on Tuesday, June 28, 2011. The full revised narrative of presolicitation announcement notice is below. P11PS00615. The complete solicitation package as well as any issued amendments will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov website on or about May 26, 2011. A PAPER SOLICITATION PACKAGE WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Telephone, fax, or email requests for this solicitation will not be accepted. The work of this contract consists of constructing a commercial laundry in a portion of an existing building at the Schoodic Education and Research Center, Acadia National Park, Winter Harbor, Maine. The work includes selective demolition in the proposed space and cutting and patching; extending utilities, installing a propane fired water heater, lighting and receptacles; construction of partitions, slabs, windows, and doors; providing and installing commercial laundry equipment and furnishings; and providing a three year maintenance and servicing agreement. There is also a bid option to install air conditioning. Performance period is 60 days from Notice to Proceed. NAICS 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction with a size standard of $33.5 million. This solicitation is set aside for HUB-Zone small business concerns. Estimated price is between $100,000 and $250,000. A site visit is scheduled for Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 10:00 am. Meet at the entrance gate to the Schoodic Education and Research Center in Acadia National Park, Winter Harbor, Maine. All bidders are encouraged to attend and should bring a copy of the solicitation package with them. Hard copy bid documents only shall be accepted for this solicitation (no faxed or electronic bid documents will be accepted). Bids must be received at Acadia National Park by 3:00 pm local time on June 28, 2011 in accordance with Section L of this solicitation.
