- DESCRIPTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs Nebraska Western Iowa Health Care System (NWIHCS) intends to negotiate a commercial (FAR Part 12) sole source contract with Bard-Access Systems, INC, 605 N 5600 W, Salt Lake City, UT 84116 under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) FAC 2005-50. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A justification for other than full and open competition is being prepared in support of this acquisition. The requirements of this solicitation are as follows: (1)Integrated Sherlock 3CG Tip Location System (Model # 9770024), MFR: Bard Access Systems. 2 Each Items will be shipped to Nebraska Western Iowa Healthcare System, NWIHCS, 4101 Woolworth Ave, Omaha, NE 68105. The items listed is/are compatible with existing Government-owned equipment. It would not be practical or cost effective to purchase a brand other than the recommended and due to standardization. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. NAICS Code 339112, with a size standard of 500 employees applies to this procurement. All inquiries received by 12:00 P.M. Central Time, Friday, April 29, 2011, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
