- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, intends to request a proposal on a non-competitive basis from Southwest Inter Connect Inc., located in Fort Worth, Texas for the manufacture and delivery of up to thirty eight each (38 ea) 1553 Data Bus Cable Sets (part number BHT-H1-1003). The anticipated Firm Fixed Price type contract will support the AH-1W and UH-1N Aircraft. The base quantity will consist of ten each (10 ea) 1553 Data Bus Cable Sets with an additional twenty eight each (28 ea) 1553 Data Bus Cable Sets utilizing four (4) one-year option periods. The Government intends to negotiate this procurement under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The Government does not own data, drawings, or other specifications to permit full and open competition. Southwest Inter Connect Inc. is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation will be available for this procurement.
