- This is a Solicitation. This is NOT a Pre-solicitation. The United States Geological Survey operates and maintains a Geomagnetic Observatory near Newport,WA. A generator is on location to provide backup power to the facility in order to maintain the collection of geomagnetic data as set forth by Intermagnet. The generator, once operational, will also provide critical back-up power to ANSS and CTBTO seismic and infrasound equipment located on site. A large capacity fuel tank is needed to provide enough fuel to run this generator at full capacity during extended power outages. Please see the attached Statement of Work for details.
