- This synopsis is to advise of the Navy's Fleet & Industrial Supply Center, Puget Sound (FISCPS) intention to exercise Option II (the final option) of contract N00406-09-D-9172. This synopsis identified services in support of Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) and Commander, Navy Region Northwest (CNRNW). This requirement includes support for local, regional and national resource centers and interagency teams. The contractor provides in-depth operation knowledge and expertise in current United States Navy (USN) policies, plans, processes, operations, systems, and support functions, involving worldwide shore establishment and operational forces to meet mission requirements of the USN. In order these critical task requirements travel is required, and anticipated location of services vary along with travel requirements and these are identified on individual Task Orders (TO). This activity requires interaction with other Government Agencies/Organizations in order to leverage technologies already on place. System engineering and development, education and training development, assessment, analysis and support, and system support for the USN and it ™s partners is a major function of the effort in this acquisition. The contractor provides for the transition of scientific research and engineering, business process improvement, and the best practices and lessons learned of the domestic industrial base on behalf of the Government. Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Security Clearances are required for employees. The current contract is a Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), 3 year period of performance, this synopsis is for the 2nd and final option year of performance, 14 June 2011 through 13 June 2012. This is not a request for competitive proposals, but is issued to identify any potential new source for this effort in order to allow for future planning. (X) 10.
