- This is a Notice of Intent to conduct a sole source procurement with a SDVOSB. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes, however; any SDVOSB firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer by 4:00 pm Mountain Time, May 3, 2011. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed below. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source negotiation. Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to jones@wapa.gov Telephone and fax requests or inquiries will not be accepted. The Western Area Power Administration, Upper Great Plains Region, intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis with Best Enterprises, Oakdale MN, a SDVOSB, for AFL Telecommunications Overhead Fiber Optic Ground Wire (OPGW) hardware components such as connectors, splice boxes, deadends, link plates, suspension hangers, pole clamps, guide clamps, etc. The NAICS code applicable to this requirement is: 334417 This is not a formal solicitation. This synopsis is for notification purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for bids or proposals. Responses need to provide evidence of the ability of SDVOSB's to supply AFL OPGW Hardware components. Contractors must have a current registration with the Central Contractor Registration(CCR) http://www.ccr.gov/ and with the online representations and Certifications Application(ORCA) https://orca.bpn.gov/search/publicsearch.aspx
