- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. No Solicitation is currently available. Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 21 Network Contracting Activity will be issuing a Request for Proposals to award a construction contract to an Electrical Contractor for Project 640-11-141P, Project Title: Interior Lighting Retrofit at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System, 3801 Miranda Avenue, Palo Alto, CA. Project includes installation of Occupancy Sensors and, replacement of 4-foot Fluorescent lamps/ballasts with 4-foot LED's in various locations throughout the campus. Locations will be included in the future solicitation package. At this point in the procurement process the Department of Veterans Affairs is performing market research to determine contractor availability and bonding capacity of Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, Hubzone Small Business, Small Disadvantage Business 8(a) or Woman Owned Small Businesses. Interested firms should send, by E-mail only, the following information: Socio-Economic Category; DUNS number; Maximum bonding capability for a single bid and; Total maximum bonding capacity. Information shall be sent to joseph.mulstay@va.gov by close of business May 9, 2011. Estimated construction cost is more between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Information received will be used in any set aside determination. The NAICS code for this procurement will be 238210.
