- PRESOLICITATION NOTICE - Renovate Southwest Wing 1st Floor Building 403, NRM Project, at the VA Medical Center in Tomah, WI. Contractor shall provide for and furnish all labor, materials, equipment, temporary protection, qualified supervision, overtime, and other items designated under the provisions of this contract, Renovate Southwest Wing 1st Floor Building 403, as outlined in the contract specifications and as shown on the contract drawings. Project consists of the removal and disposal of existing woodshop electrical, plumbing and heating systems. The removal and disposal of complete woodshop dust collection system. The removal and disposal of complete woodshop compressed air system to include the removal of one (1) SullAir air compressor w/ air dryer and associated air piping. The removal and disposal of one (1) complete paint spray booth approx. 8' x 8'x 8' in size. The removal and disposal of one (1) 12' x 12' overhead door w/ opener and the masonry infill of door opening. The installation of one (1) set of medical gas outlets (oxygen, vacuum and medical air) w/ associated piping connected to existing medical gas piping system 50' away. The installation of electrical power, lighting, voice/data, stud walls, wall insulation, wall finishes, ceiling finishes, floor finishes and all related assemblies and the modification of existing HVAC systems for approximately 800 SF of office space and the necessary removal, storage and reinstallation of equipment and certain other items and assemblies. The solicitation, specifications and drawings will be posted on FedBizOpps. There will be a pre-construction conference held for this project and all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-construction conference will be included in the solicitation package. This solicitation is set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business firms. The solicitation will be issued on or about May 9, 2011 with the bid opening on or about June 7, 2011. The bidder is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from FedBizOpps which may be issued to this solicitation. Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), competition is restricted to Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business construction firms. The project magnitude range is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 236220; size standard $33.5 Million applies. Time for completion is 150 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. In accordance with the class deviation to 804.1102 Vendor Information Pages (VIP) Database effective October 1, 2010, all SDVOSB and VOSB firms must be verified by the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization Center for Veterans Enterprise (CVE) prior to receiving an award under the program. If the successful bidder is not listed as verified in the VIP, the CO must contact the bidder and advise the bidder that it has 5 days to submit the verification documentation to CVE. CVE will process the documents and make a verification determination within 21 days of receipt of the documentation. In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, Required Central Contractor Registration, SDVOSB or VOSB firms also must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be eligible to receive an award.
