- This is a Request For Information (RFI) pursuant to FAR 15.201(e). There is no solicitation package available at this time. The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst, NJ is seeking information from potential sources that can provide a refurbished or new A/M32A-95 Gas Turbine Engine Power Unit (Air Start Cart) with P-3C Aircraft hose assembly, training and spares kit. The Government will also consider a unit that is currently supportable by the current United States Navy maintenance support concept and that is equal or newer than a -95 series turbine. The unit must have full capability to start a P-3C aircraft under all atmospheric conditions. This sources sought notice is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award, or be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. All data received in response to this RFI, marked or designated as corporate or proprietary, will be fully protected from release outside the Government. Failure to respond to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future associated Request For Proposal that may be issued. Information herein is based on the best information available at the time of publication, is subject to change, and in no way binds the Government to solicit or award a contract. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website: www.fbo.gov. It is the potential offerer's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of any follow-on information. The Government is not committed nor obligated to pay for the information provided, and no basis for claims against the Government shall arise as a result of a response to this sources sought. All responses should be submitted in writing no later than 2PM EST on May 3rd, 2011.
