- Description
- PRESOLICITATION NOTICE - Replace AHU for Patient Dining Rooms, NRM Project, at the VA Medical Center in Tomah, WI. Contractor shall provide for and furnish all labor, materials, equipment, temporary protection, qualified supervision, overtime, and other items designated under the provisions of this contract, Replace AHU for Patient Dining Rooms, as outlined in the contract specifications and as shown on the contract drawings. Project consists of the removal and replacement of the existing multi-zone air handling unit located in the West end of the B-424 penthouse and the existing chiller located at grade adjacent to the penthouse. Execution of this AHU change-out will be scheduled to coincide with moderate weather this fall to facilitate uninterrupted use of the veteran's main dining hall which serves meals 365 days per year. Bidder shall plan for approximately one week duration from shut down of existing unit to startup of new AHU. The solicitation, specifications and drawings will be posted on FedBizOpps. There will be a pre-construction conference held for this project and all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-construction conference will be included in the solicitation package. This solicitation is set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business firms. The solicitation will be issued on or about May 3, 2011 with the bid opening on or about June 1, 2011. The bidder is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from FedBizOpps which may be issued to this solicitation. Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), competition is restricted to Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business construction firms. The project magnitude range is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 238220; size standard $14.0 Million applies. Time for completion is 160 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. In accordance with the class deviation to 804.1102 Vendor Information Pages (VIP) Database effective October 1, 2010, all SDVOSB and VOSB firms must be verified by the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization Center for Veterans Enterprise (CVE) prior to receiving an award under the program. If the successful bidder is not listed as verified in the VIP, the CO must contact the bidder and advise the bidder that it has 5 days to submit the verification documentation to CVE. CVE will process the documents and make a verification determination within 21 days of receipt of the documentation. In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, Required Central Contractor Registration, SDVOSB or VOSB firms also must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be eligible to receive an award.
