Description
THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL AND PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY AND SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A SOLICITATION OR AS AN OBLIGATION OR COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT. THIS NOTICE IS INTENDED STRICTLY FOR MARKET RESEARCH. The U.S. Military Academy (USMA) at West Point NY is seeking sources capable of Providing Emergency Service and Performing Preventive Maintenance on Five (5) Revolving Tray Ovens. Below is a general description of work that needs to be provided for the ovens located at the Cadet Mess: Main Kitchen: Two (2) - Lucks Model CU488G: Serial # 1017651 Serial # 1017599 Bakery: Three (3) - Cutler "H" Series: Oven #1 - Model H 727BL s/n 96400 Oven #2 - Model H 728BL s/n 96398 Oven #3 - Model H 728BL s/n 96399 NOTE: The above ovens are in constant need of service and maintenance in order to keep them operational. Both manufacturers are out of business and there are limited parts available (some need to be fabricated). Maintenance to include, but not limited, to the following: 1) Every Other Month: Lubricate Trays and Stabilizer bushings with High Temperature Lubricant Grease Draft Inducer Blower Bearings Grease Stabilizer Wheel Bearings Check / Replenish Oil in Drive Gear Oil Bath Check / Replenish Gear Box Lubricant Check Belt Tension (replace belt if necessary) Check Proving Switches Check Combustion Air Fan Check Timers and Buzzers Check Overall Operation and All Safety Controls 2) Every Four Months: Clean Spark and Flame Sensors Replace Ignition Spark Wire Replace Flame Sensor Wire Check Flame Sensor Rectification Clean Main Burner and Pilot Burner Adjust Combustion on Main Burners Remove and Clean Proximity Sensor Glass Remove and Clean Light Bulb Glass Clean / Replace Combustion Air Filters Clean Combustion Blower Air Intake 3) Every Six Months: Remove and Clean Bricks Remove and Clean Burners Level Shelves Change Drive Gear Oil Change Gear Box Oil Replace Light Bulbs Replace Drive Motor Belts Replace Inducer Motor Belts Replace Combustion Air Filter 4) Provide Emergency Service: Respond to emergency service within 24Hrs of call for service. 5) Provide Fabrication Services: Some parts are no longer available for these ovens therefore there may be occasion where the replacement part / parts may have to be fabricated. All Work must be scheduled with the Food Service Supervisor to ensure ovens will be accessible and that service will not adversely affect the food service operation. INTERESTED SOURCES ARE REQUESTED TO SUBMIT A PACKAGE DELINEATING QUALIFICATION, CAPABILITIES, AND EXPERIENCE FOR PROVIDING THESE SERVICES. SOURCES MUST SUFFICIENTLY DEMONSTRATE THE CAPABILITY TO PERFORM THESE SERVICES AND MUST PROVIDE DETAILED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS IN ALL PREVIOUS WORK PERTINENT TO THIS EFFORT. PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR BUSINESS SIZE WITH YOUR SUBMITTAL. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL OR AN ANNOUNCEMENT OF A SOLICITATION AND NO SOLICITATION PACKAGE EXISTS AT THIS TIME. YOUR RESPONSES WILL BE USED SOLELY FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES OF THE GOVERNMENT. THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT PAY FOR ANY MATERIALS PROVIDED IN RESPONSE TO THIS NOTICE AND SUBMITTALS WILL NOT BE RETURNED TO THE SENDER. THE APPLICABLE NORTH AMERICAN INDUSTRY CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM (NAICS) CODE FOR THIS REQUIREMENT IS 811310 AND THE SMALL BUSINESS SIZE STANDARD IS $7.0 MILLION. RESPONSES DUE ARE TO BE SUBMITTED BY E-MAIL TO CHRISTA.PETERSON@USMA.EDU. THE INFORMATION REQUESTED MUST BE RECEIVED NO LATER THAN 4:30 PM EASTERN STANDARD TIME ON 3 MAY 2011.
